How to Use Purely Green Cleaners
The How-To-Use suggestions below are mostly for homes and offices. Purely Green 25 handles 95+% of all cleaning chores. WOW! (Industrial Solutions (at bottom)) easily handles the rest such as grills, ovens, dried oil and/or tar, etc.
For medium strength cleaning, use product dilutions below. Adjust accordingly.
HOUSEHOLD CLEANING SOLUTIONS
PG 25: 2 ounces per quart

Helpful definition. “Dwell time” is the word used by professional cleaners to describe the amount of time needed to penetrate, dislodge and release dirt, grease, and stains. Fresh dirt and grime clean up easily. Dried, hardened grease and grime need more dwell time. In the following hints, the dwell time is for average challenges. Please adjust it as needed. “RTU” means Ready-To-Use and requires no diluting.

This product will keep your bath sparkling clean.
BATHTUB MAT: Spray both sides. Dwell time: 45 seconds. Agitate with stiff brush or sponge. Rinse. Allow more dwell if it is heavily soiled.
FLOORS:
Tile: Sweep first. Spray generously. Use a soft brush to agitate into the grout. Wipe with a damp cloth. Rinse well with clear water to avoid slippery floors.
Vinyl: Spray, then use a terry cloth to agitate. Dry with a soft cloth.
Marble: Spray generously. Wipe with a wet cloth. Then, buff to a shine.
MEDICINE CABINET: Unload first. Spray and wipe with damp cloth or sponge.
SEWER DRAIN: Regular use keeps drains free of soap and grime build-up. Sorry. It will not dissolve or push out hair.
SHOWER DOOR: Spray. Agitate with a wet rag or brush. Rinse, then wipe dry.
SINK & FAUCETS: Spray. Dwell time: 30 seconds. Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge. If heavily soiled or crusted, agitate with a brush. Rinse. Wipe faucets with a dry cloth for a sparkle.
SPA: Add one cup per 100 gallons of water. Run the jets until the spa is clear.
SHAMPOO & SHOWERS: In the shower, use it as any other shampoo or liquid soap. (It is low suds, yet effective.)
SHAVING: To soften whiskers, squirt it into your hands and apply directly to the whiskers. It is a remarkable beard softener. Apply normal lather before shaving. After-shave lotion is not needed. Ladies use it for shaving their legs. Acne victims use it for washing their faces.
TOILET: Spray seat, bowl, and sides. Dwell time: 60 seconds. Scrub with a wet rag or brush.
TUB/SHOWER: Wet sides of shower and tub. Spray on all surfaces. Dwell time: 60 seconds. Scrub with a brush or rag. Rinse well to avoid slippery surface and wipe the clean walls dry.
AS A DEAD BUG REMOVER
BUG STAINS: On Auto Exterior: Spray with water, then with Purely Green. Dwell time: 2 minutes. Dried bugs will melt. Wipe them away with a wet cloth. NOTE. Do not leave Purely Green on too long. It may dull some finishes.
INSECTS. Spray Purely Green Bio-Pesticide directly on insects.
CHROME: To remove dead bugs, spray generously and let dwell 2 minutes. Wipe with a wet sponge or rag.
TAR. Tar is difficult. Soak the tar with hot water, then spray with WOW! and let dwell for 5 minutes. Wipe with a hot wet rag or rinse with the hose.

CARPETS:
AUTOMOBILE CARPETS: Spray generously. Dwell time: 1 minute. Then pat up the stain with a wet rag. NOTE: Do not rub stains. Rubbing spreads stains onto other fibers.
HOUSEHOLD CARPETS & RUGS: Spot and stain removal. Spray generously. Dwell time: 1 or 2 minutes. Pat up (do not rub) the stain with a clean wet cloth. Then dry with a dry cloth or vacuum. NOTE: Remove ALL residues to prevent further staining.
PAINT: To remove fresh paint from the carpet, spray generously with WOW! Allow 5 minutes dwell time. Pat, do not rub, with a clean damp cloth until the paint is removed. A second application may be needed.
SHAMPOO: (or extraction method) Pre-spray heavy traffic areas. Then add one ounce or cleaner per 3 gallons of water and use the machine per directions.
CURTAINS: Regular washable curtains: Wash normally. Non-washables. First test on a hem to make sure your curtains will not water stain. (If they show a water stain, do not wash!) Mist Purely Green on a slightly moist cloth. Gently rub your spots. Wipe with a moist cloth. Let dry. Iron as needed.
FLOORS: Use 2 ounces of Purely Green per gallon of warm water, or spray on floor and buff with a damp mop or damp cloth.
UPHOLSTERY: Lightly mist a cloth with Purely Green. Gently PAT the area to be cleaned. If really dirty or greasy, lightly scrub with a dampened brush or terry cloth. Wipe with a damp cloth.
VINYL FLOORS: Spray generously. Wipe with a damp mop.
FRUITS AND VEGETABLES: To remove insecticides, grime, bugs, wax, and crud, rinse, then spray or soak with Purely Green. For apples, carrots or other hard produce, rub briskly by hand or with a small scrub brush. Rinse under running water. For grapes, rinse, spray with Purely Green. Let it sit up to a minute. Rinse well. You will be amazed at the amount of stuff that is removed!
IMPORTANT — VEGGIE WASH: When farmers spray insecticides on fruits and vegetables, they must use oil-based poisons, or the rain will wash them away. Ordinary “veggie” washes cannot dissolve oil, so you and your family are ingesting pesticides.
FLOWERS: To prolong the life of cut flowers, add a ½ teaspoon of Purely Green to the water in a vase.
FOR GLASS SURFACES: Dilute Purely Green with a nose dropper full per quart of water.
COMPUTERS: For the screen, keyboard, monitor, etc., spray it on a soft cloth and wipe clean. Buff dry with a soft cloth.
EYEGLASSES: Mist it on lightly then wipe dry with a soft cloth. Buff with a second dry cloth. Dust and smudges are repelled.
FIREPLACE GLASS DOORS: To remove the oily buildup from glass doors, spray while doors are warm. Wipe with a damp cloth.
GLASS: Spray lightly. Wipe with a dry cloth, then buff with a second dry cloth.
JEWELRY: Spray lightly and buff with a soft cloth or paper towel. Caution. The glue in some inexpensive jewelry may loosen if allowed to soak too long.
MIRRORS: Spray lightly. Dry with a soft cloth or paper towel. Buff with a second soft dry cloth.
PICTURES: Spray lightly then dry with a clean cloth. Wipe the entire picture. Buff the glass with a second cloth.
SKI GOGGLES: Clean your ski goggles with to prevent fogging and snow build up.
WINDOWS: Clean windows by lightly spraying with highly diluted Purely Green. Dry with a soft cloth. Buff with a second soft cloth.
HAND WASH
The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) of a popular hand soap warns to avoid skin contact by using rubber gloves. (It contains Triclosan.)
Purely Green carries no such warnings. It contains no Triclosan. Keep a bottle everywhere you wash your hands. Simply pump a few squirts into your hands, lather and rinse.
Suggestion: Carry a small bottle in your purse to spray shopping carts, doorknobs, and toilet seats before touching.
BABY BOTTLES: Spray a generous amount into the bottle and rinse with hot water.
BOOKS: Spray a soft cloth and wipe books. It will clean them and delay future dust build-up.
CAULKING, DRIED: Spray on the area to be cleaned. Allow substantial dwell time. Wipe with a damp terry cloth.
CLOSETS: To clean shelves, walls and floors of closets, wipe shelves, walls, and floors with a cloth dampened with Purely Green.
CRAYON: For hard surfaces like mica cabinets, spray the mark and let it dwell until the mark becomes soft. Remove with a damp terry cloth. Painted walls or wallboard. Test your paint durability on a hidden area first. If no paint is removed, spray Purely Green on a damp cloth and rub gently. If you rub too hard, you may rub through the paint.
DENTURES: Soak a few minutes. Rinse well.
DIAPER PAILS: Spray diaper pails generously.
DOORS AND DOOR FRAMES: To clean fingerprints from doors and frames, spray onto a clean, damp terry cloth, or spray directly onto the surface. Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge. To remove heavy dirt and grime, allow additional dwell time. Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge.
FANS, CEILING: Spray and wipe the blades with a clean cloth. Spray a damp cloth and clean the motor housing. Wipe it with a second damp cloth. Clean the light fixture with a cloth that has been lightly sprayed with Purely Green. Buff with a dry cloth.
FURNITURE (PLASTIC): Spray on, allow dwell time then remove with a wet terry towel. Vinyl. Spray on, allow dwell time then remove with a wet terry towel.
GOLF CLUBS: Spray, then wipe with a clean cloth. Apply to the polished surfaces and buff with a soft, clean cloth.
GUM REMOVAL (from hair): Soak it with Purely Green, then gently massage into gum until it begins to break apart. Rinse and comb out. From carpet: Soak it, then gently massage into gum until it begins to break apart and remove with a stiff brush.
HEEL MARKS AND SCUFFS: Spray the area and allow a few minutes dwell time. Rub with a terry cloth. Repeat, if necessary.
INK STAINS (ballpoint): Wet the stain with warm water then spray. Work into the stain. Pat it up with a dry cloth. If stubborn, spray again. If the material is washable, wash normally. If non-washable, blot off with a damp cloth. Purely Green works on organic ink. It does not work on inorganic substances.
LEATHER: For shoes, boots, purses, leather coats, leather seat covers, etc., spray on and wipe off with a soft cloth.
PERMANENT MARKER (Organic): On hard surfaces spray and agitate with a stiff brush or damp terry cloth. Allow dwell time, and then wipe it off. On carpet or fabric, spray Purely Green on a damp cloth, then gently work pat the spot until it is lifted out. Repeat as necessary.
PESTICIDE REMOVAL: Spray or soak liberally with Purely Green. Rub briskly. Rinse well. Your food will be “Pesticide Free.”
PLANTS (SILK): Take plants outside. Rinse with water. Spray with Purely Green. Let it dwell for one minute. Rinse well.
RUST: This challenge requires “elbow grease.” Wet area with hot water and spray generously. Allow 10 minutes dwell time. Scrub with a stiff brush, Tuffy or fine steel wool. Reapply as needed. Rinse well.
SCREENS, (Window): Rinse with water. Mix 1/2 cup to 2 gallons water. Dip a soft brush into solution and brush on screen. Rinse.
SPA: For a fun bubble bath while cleaning your spa water and pump, add a couple of tablespoons full per 100 gallons of water.
STUCCO: Wet the area to be cleaned with warm water. Spray thoroughly. Brush with a stiff brush or broom. Rinse.
SWIMMING POOLS: Remove dirt around the pool by spraying directly or adding one cup per gallon of water into a bucket and scrubbing the area.
TOYS: Clean by spraying generously. Allow 5 minutes dwell time. Wipe with a damp cloth. Or wash in the sink in a mixture of one cup per gallon of warm water. Rinse and dry.
WALLS: Spray Purely Green on a damp cloth and wash walls.
WALLPAPER: Caution. Some soft paper wallpaper can be dissolved by Purely Green. Vinyl paper is safe. Spray lightly, then wipe gently with a damp terry cloth. Non-vinyl wallpaper. Test on an out of way place to see if the paper will damage. If it will clean without damage, spray Purely Green on a soft, damp cloth. Blot; don’t rub, gently into the stain. Blot with a second slightly damp cloth. Dry it with a soft dry cloth or hair dryer.
KITCHEN: Some of our most potent health hazards are encountered in the kitchen. Our health depends on removing these hazards.
APPLIANCES: Mist and wipe with a damp sponge or terry cloth.
CABINETS: Spray, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth. To protect, and repel dust accumulation, spray on a soft cloth and buff.
COUNTERTOPS: Spray, then wipe with a damp cloth or sponge. To remove stains, scrub with a “Tuffy.”
DISHWASHER: Spray Purely Green on a cloth and wipe the dishwasher exterior.
DRAWERS: Empty the drawers. If a mica finish, spray directly into the drawer. Wipe with a damp cloth. Wipe dry. If it is a wood finish, spray Purely Green onto a damp cloth. Wipe the drawer, including the sides.
FLOORS: Sweep or dust mop to remove dirt and grit. Spray the solution onto a damp sponge or rag mop. Mop the floor. For hard spots, spray the solution directly on the stubborn spot. Allow some dwell time, and then agitate it until the stain is gone. Smooth and buff it with a damp mop.
OVEN: Remove the racks and soak them in hot water and WOW! Warm the oven to 100 degrees. Mist with water. If there is a heavy build-up of burned food, scrape it off with a stiff brush, then, spray, let it dwell, then wipe away the grease. If it has been neglected, repeat the process. When the grease and burned food is loosened on the racks, finish the job by wiping with a wet cloth.
RANGE HOOD: Spray the hood then wipe with a damp cloth. If the grease screen is heavily encrusted, scrub with WOW! and a brush. Rinse thoroughly.
STOVE TOP: Spray and let dwell. Wipe with a damp cloth. Burned food needs more dwell time and a tuffy. Repeat as needed. If you have a solid top, dry it with a soft cloth to restore the luster.
DISHES & FOOD CLEANUP
BURNED FOOD. For burned food, add a tablespoon of WOW! plus hot water. Let it dwell 20 minutes. The burnt food and smell will rinse away.
DISH LIQUID (Hand) Because Purely Green cleans with fewer suds, (no phosphates) you may ask whether your dishes are clean. They are. If you doubt it, run your finger over a cleaned dish. If it squeaks, your dish is clean.
DISHES: Spray dishes as soon as practical. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Some people prefer to spray the Purely Green directly on a sponge, and then wipe dishes. Others prefer to add a tablespoon or so to a pan or sink of water and immerse dishware under water.
DISHWASHER (Automatic)
Since dishwashers vary so much, you will need to experiment and find the best “technique” for your dishwasher.
Scrape and rinse your dishes per normal. Then add one (1) teaspoon per well.
Run machine as usual. Add more or less of the solution to get your desired results. If too much is used, the machine may overflow with suds.
POTS & PANS: Pots and pans are easier to clean if rinsed, sprayed and left to soak during your meal. As you empty a pot or pan, rinse and spray it. Let it dwell. You can wash it immediately with hot water or spray it and wait until later. For really tough or caked grease, use WOW!
LAUNDRY PRE-SPOT: For stains, spots and odor areas, wet then spray with Purely Green. Let it dwell, then agitate until the spot or stain is gone. Wash normally.
- Oil and Grease Spots: Spray generously with WOW! – then wash.
- Grass stains: Dampen fabric and spray generously. Rub into the stain. More dwell time may be needed for children’s play clothes. Wash as usual.
AS A LAUNDRY SOLUTION
You will love it! It contains no phosphates and leaves no harmful chemicals to be absorbed by the skin. Use 2 ounces of PG 25 or 4 ounces of Organic Cleaner/Degreaser per average load. Purely Green contains no bleach. To keep whites, white, add ½ cup baking soda or Borax. Pre-wash diapers in cold water to remove the urine and feces, and then wash in hot water. Silks can be washed on the gentle cycle (if washable).
PET CARE: Purely Green leaves the fur soft and lustrous. It does not harm your pet if the pet licks itself.
CATS: Cats don’t like water, so spray Purely Green on a soft cloth and stroke the cat with the cloth.
DOG SHAMPOO: Simply add ½ cup per gallon of bath water or spray it directly onto the wet pet. Lather and rinse thoroughly.
PET AREAS: Spray generously, let dwell and rinse.
CARS, BOATS & BICYCLES:
CHROME: After removing bugs, buff dry.
AUTO EXTERIOR: Work on a cool surface. Spray with water, then buff dry with a clean, dry terrycloth while the surface is still wet.
PAINT OVERSPRAY: Professional auto painters advise that Purely Green is the only remedy they have found to remove overspray without damaging the rubber.
BICYCLES: Spray the fenders, frame, handlebars, then buff dry with a cloth. For greasy, gummy tire axles, rinse with a hose and spray on Purely Green. Dwell time: several minutes. Wipe or rinse away the grease with a hose.
BOATS: Cleans mild soil and watermarks. For really tough stains and oil grime, use Purely Green. Buff dry.

- To remove bait and fish odor, carbon, oil, diesel grime, bird droppings, mold, and scum from fiberglass and vinyl seats, spray liberally and rinse well. Dry with a soft cloth. Buff with a second cloth.
BRAKE DRUMS: Spray brake drums. Let it dwell for 5 minutes. Wash off.
TIRE & VINYL CLEANER AUTOMOBILE: (Includes bicycles, golf carts, motorcycles & trucks.)
TIRES & WHEEL HUBS: Spray Purely Green generously and let it dwell while you are washing the vehicle. When you return to the tires, agitate the solution with a stiff brush. Rinse off with water.
VINYL TOP: Spray on, allow dwell time and gently agitate with a soft wet brush or terry cloth towel. Wipe off. Buff dry.
WINDSHIELDS (auto): Mist lightly and buff dry. After cleaning, spray with water and buff dry again. This helps prevent headlight glare at night.
MOBILE / MOTOR HOME EXTERIOR: Rinse the exterior with water. Spray with Purely Green. Scrub those spots that are stubborn. Rinse with clean water. Use less of the solution in a power washer.
AS A DEAD BUG REMOVER:

Use WOW! for your toughest challenges. Hot water helps.
BRICKS: Add one cup of WOW! per gallon of water. Rinse the area to be cleaned. Dip a stiff brush into solution and brush onto bricks. Rinse.
DECKS (Wood): Add one cup of WOW! per gallon of water. Rinse your deck. Scrub with a stiff brush. If using a pressure washer, use half as much WOW!
DRAINS, PLUGGED: Pour 2 cups of concentrated WOW! into the drain. Let it dwell 10 to 20 minutes. Plunge with a Plumbers Helper. Repeat as needed. This will work for soap scum and grease. It will not dissolve hair or other large items. Regular usage of Purely Green solutions prevents grease, soap and sludge build-up.
DIESEL STAINS: Wet with hot water and spray generously. Let it dwell several minutes and agitate with a brush. Diesel stains are tough. Repeat until stains are gone.
DRIVEWAYS / GARAGES FLOORS: Wet with hot water. Spray WOW! and let it dwell until oil is dissolved. Agitate with a stiff brush. Rinse. Repeat, if necessary.
ENGINES: Hose off the warm engine. Spray WOW! and let dwell until grease is dissolved. Agitate with a stiff brush. Rinse with strong water pressure.
FECAL MATTER: Health conscious people are concerned with the hand washing habits of some of the public. Recent studies found significant fecal matter in public areas ranging from restrooms, bowling balls, theater seats, and shopping carts. To clean your hands, carry a small bottle of WOW! as a hand wash.
FENCING: To clean dirty fencing, hose with water. Dip a stiff brush into a mixture of 4 ounces Purely Green to four gallons water. Rub briskly. Rinse. When using a pressure washer, reduce the amount of concentrate to ½.
GASOLINE: Spray generously with WOW! and agitate with a brush during dwell time. Rinse away.
GRILLS: Wet with hot water then spray generously with WOW! Let it dwell a few minutes until the grease is dissolved. Scrub with a stiff brush. Repeat, if necessary. If the grill has been neglected, soak it in a mixture or WOW! and hot water until all grease is loosened.
MECHANICS HAND WASH: WOW was named WOW! because that’s what mechanics said after testing it to remove embedded grease from their pores.
OILY SPOTS: Spray with hot water, then WOW! Let it dwell until the oil runs. Wipe with damp cloth.
PAINT BRUSHES: If stiff and dry; soak overnight in a strong solution. Agitate frequently. Rinse and let dry.
PAINT CLEAN-UP: While the paint is fresh, spray and wipe up with a clean rag. If on the carpet, do not rub. Pat it up.
PLASTIC, BURNED ON: (Tough job) Spray WOW! and let dwell until it dissolves. Scrub with a Tuffy. Rinse. Repeat until you are satisfied.
PRINTING INK (Organic): Spray the area to be cleaned and let it dwell until the ink softens. Wipe with a damp cloth. Printers use either organic or inorganic ink. Purely Green products work on organic ink.
SEWER LINES: Regular use of Purely Green solutions in baths, laundry, and kitchen helps keep sewer lines free of soap and grease build up.
SEWER PLANTS: Regular use of Purely Green in the sewer lines keeps grease balls dissolved in the sewer plant. The pumps work with less friction and run smoother.
SOOT: Rinse away loose soot, then spray liberally. Allow ample dwell time then wipe with a big brush or broom.
TOBACCO/NICOTINE STAINS: To remove stains on walls, doors, tables, etc., spray directly on the stain. Wipe with a damp cloth. Hard surfaces: Spray generously, allow several minutes of dwell time, and then wipe off the yellowish stain with a wet rag.
VENTS: If removable, remove and spray with WOW! Let it dwell, then rinse with water.
